Purvis: Government priorities must be clear amid budget pressures

5.21.42pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 21st Jul 2010

Commenting on the CPPR report on future capital spend in Scotland, Liberal Democrat Finance spokesman Jeremy Purvis said:

"We have been calling for over a year for the Scottish Government’s strategic transport plan to have a ranking and for clear criteria on Government priorities.

"Without this there is a real concern that budget pressures will mean a whole raft of decisions like GARL, that are badly made and lacking transparency."
