Murphy an apologist for inhumane asylum system – Carmichael

Commenting on Jim Murphy’s speech on immigration, Liberal Democrat Shadow Scotland Secretary, Alistair Carmichael said: “Jim Murphy demonstrates his total inability to represent Scotland’s views on the humane treatment of asylum seekers.

“Instead he acts as an apologist for an asylum system which is inefficient and inhumane.Alistair Carmichael MP: Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland

“Scotland expects a more concrete improvement on asylum, and less hand-wringing from a Secretary of State who is obviously ignored by his colleagues.”
